The Public Grand Honors were rendered by all Masons present, and Br. Kominz welcomed Rt. Wor. Br. Kenneth Clay, who introduced the following Present and Past Masters who were on his Suite:

The Acting Grand Marshal was Right Wor. Br. Daniel Hotchkiss, Junior Grand Deacon.
A prayer was given by the instantly appointed Acting Grand Chaplain, again Right Wor. Br. Daniel Hotchkiss. Right Wor. Kenneth A. Clay, Jr., gave the greetings of our Grand Master, Stewart Aronson, who was unable to attend (as he and his top two Officers were away at a conference), as well as his own greetings.
Next came awardees for the 25 and 40 years of service presentations. Worshipful Jay Bernier, Master of Olive Branch Mount Prospect Lodge #16, presented a 25 year pin to Br. William Davis with the assistance of the Jr. Grand Warden.
Next, the Worshipful Master of Red Mountain Lodge #68, Br. Scott Kinmond, along with two other Brothers from his Lodge were escorted to the East. With great subterfuge, Right Worshipful Br. Kenneth A. Clay, Jr. revealed that Br. Kinmond was voted by his Brethren and approved by the Grand Master, to receive the Major General John Sullivan Distinguished Service
Award, in Bronze. He was then accorded the Public Grand Honors, led by Right Wor. Br.Daniel Hotchkiss.
Next, Rt. Worshipful Wayne A. Norris , substituting for the Worshipful Master of Chocorua Lodge #83 was escorted the East. Appreciation for Members of Chocorua Lodge were expressed.
Next, Ellacoya #43, O.E.S. made their presentations, with Kristen Fuller, Worthy Matron, #43 O.E.S. presiding. It is noted that Nate Fuller, Worthy Patron, #43 O.E.S. was present but remained on the sidelines so he could baby sit their 2 very young children. The following
Members were escorted to the East and presented with the following awards and pins: a 25 year award to Nancy Desrosiers, 45 year awards to: Charlotte A. Levitt, George E. Leavitt, Althea Sanborn, and Joyce Smith, and a 50 year award to Janet Noland.
Br. Kenneth Clay, Jr., Jr. Grand Warden, then made the following award presentations from the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire: (note that Public Grand Honors were accorded to the recipients) (Masons and their families & friends were invited to the East)(after presentations were made, the “Lodge” W.M. and District Officer present congratulated the recipients):
A 50 year Medal, pin and certificate was presented to Br. E. Wayne Thompson, Olive Branch Mount Prospect Lodge #16.
A 50 year Medal, pin and certificate was presented to Br. Bruce Heald, Chocorua Lodge #83.
A 60 year Medal, pin and certificate was presented to Br. E. John Cilley, Olive Branch Mount Prospect Lodge #16.
The gavel was returned to Br. Kominz, who then took up the business of deciding the “fate” of Masonic District Masters and Wardens Association Traveling Gavel… was there another Lodge present with five or more Members? Red Mountain Lodge #68 rose with three. Then Chocorua Lodge #83 rose with five – they were escorted to the East & presented with the Gavel to “take back to their Lodge”.
Next were remarks by Wor. Br. Kominz, Master of Ceremonies, who thanked Grand Lodge Officers and wives, all other wives, Masons, families and friends for their support and attendance, including his own wife Susan, and also Wor. Br. Robert Coppo for his work on the organ. Before passing the gavel to Right Worshipful Br. Kenneth Clay, Jr., he noted that Masonic Customs and Courtesy yield the “final word” to the Grand Master (or in this case, the
Jr. Grand Deacon). He then passed the gavel to Right Worshipful Br. Kenneth A. Clay, Jr, Junior Grand Warden of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of the State of New Hampshire, who thanked everyone for coming, noting that it was a fun event. Let it be noted that many individuals were involved in the execution of this fine event, including a nice potluck meal that was served in the dining room following the program.
