On Saturday February 28th, Most Worshipful Grand Master Stewart L. Aronson and his suite performed a re-dedication ceremony at the 200th anniversary celebration of Cheshire-Mt Vernon Lodge No. 23 in Cornish, NH. With over 70 people in attendance the small Lodge room was filled to capacity and extra folding chairs had to be brought in. The Lodge hall was rededicated in ancient and customary form with corn, wine and oil. Right Worshipful Brother Larry Sprague, District Deputy Grand Lecturer of the 4th Masonic District and a Past Master of Cheshire-Mt Vernon Lodge, spoke on the history of the Lodge and some of its prominent members and their contributions to their local communities, the State of New Hampshire and Freemasonry.
Cheshire Lodge No. 23 was Chartered on March 2, 1815 and changed its name in December of 2008 when Mt. Vernon Lodge No. 15 merged with it.
It was a beautiful winter’s day and a great celebration with an excellent collation afterward.
