Looking to 2012
Happy New Year! The year 2012 is now upon us, providing a convenient time to reflect on where we have been and where we are going as a fraternity. It’s also a great time to consider what makes Freemasonry so important in our daily lives. As I travel throughout this fine State, I continue to be amazed by the positive energy exhibited by our membership. I see a sense of revitalization in our Lodges, both in the brick and mortar and its members. Lodges are more active than ever, bringing new members into the fraternity, supporting community functions, assisting our Special Ladies, and gaining more light in Masonry. As found in any organization, some members and Lodges are more active than others. This is understandable, given the hectic pace of our busy lives. But I ask you to harken back to that time when you first joined the Craft. Do you remember that life-changing experience? Do you remember the strong sense of friendship, fervency and zeal amongst your brethren? Do you still hold that spark? Keep that flame burning my brethren. Be as active as you can, while working within the constraints of your cable-tow. Your Masonic brethren are here to support you every step of the way.
As your Grand Master, I looking forward to meeting you “along the path” as our Masonic journey continues with renewed enthusiasm in 2012.
Paul
