At the first annual meeting of the year, Masons at Horace Chase Lodge No. 72 in Penacook held elections to select their officers for the coming year. Elected to lead the Lodge for the coming year is Worshipful Brother Glenn Patterson, as Worshipful Master, his Senior Warden is Brother Rodney Sewall, and the Junior Warden is Brother Wil Nemchick. Elected to the position of Treasurer is Worshipful Brother Peter Crouch, and Secretary James Triacca. Elected Deputy Secretary is Worshipful Brother Herbert Carpenter IV. The Master also appoints several brothers to help him perform his duties. Brother Scott Ives is Chaplain, Brother Robert Lethbridge is Marshall, Brothers John Glover and Scott Nichols, were appointed Senior and, Junior Deacons. Brothers Todd Doherty and Joshua Craggy, were appointed as Junior and Senior Stewards, and Brother Warren W. Leary III was appointed Tyler of the Lodge. Brother William Parker is Musician, and Right Worshipful Brother Sumner Goldman is the Historian of the Lodge.
The officers were installed in their positions at a semi-public ceremony, with family and friends in attendance, at the Lodge in Penacook, on January 29th. Glenn Patterson, Worshipful Master of the Lodge, said of the event, “This is a great honor, we will humbly strive, to always do what is best for our Lodge, and Masonry! Every Brother elected, or appointed to a position, has earned the faith and trust of his Brothers.” The installing suite of officers was led by Right Worshipful David Hardy. The music for the event was provided by installing Organist Rhoda Hardy, and soloist Christi Catino.
The other members of the installing officer’s suite were Worshipful Brother Sumner Goldman as Marshall, Right Worshipful Brother Mark Roth as Chaplain, and Worshipful Brother Robert MacLean Jr. as Secretary. A light lunch was served after the ceremony.
