Article by Right Worshipful Brother David Collins, Senior Grand Warden
On Saturday June 24th, with the humidity and temperatures running high outside, a group of over forty Brethren were welcomed into the air conditioning of Ancient York Lodge No. 89 in Nashua, NH. The Brethren were there to witness Jenks Lodge No. 24 of Pawtucket, Rhode Island perform the Fellow craft Degree on two (2) of their candidates using the Rhode Island ritual.
This special event was coordinated by the Masters of both of these Lodges and granted by dispensations of the Grand Masters of Rhode Island and New Hampshire. At the conclusion of the Degree, Ancient York Brethren presented the Master of Jenks Lodge with their traveling gavel to continue their fraternal bonds. The degree work was done impeccably by the Officers of Jenks Lodge and afterwards the Brethren retired to a Brothers home in Nashua for a celebratory cookout.
This is the second degree exchange between the two Lodges. The first was a Master Mason degree performed by Ancient York Lodge in Pawtucket in May of 2017.
