Brethren,
In response to the continuing circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 crisis, and out of an abundance of caution and concern for the health and safety of our Masonic family, I offer the following updated guidance.
The EDICT, issued on March 16, 2020 remains in effect. This EDICT authorizes a duly elected and installed Worshipful Master of any Lodge in this Grand Jurisdiction to cancel any regular Stated Communication of his Lodge for reasons specific to the COVID-19 Virus.
On Friday, May 29, 2020 the Governor of the State of New Hampshire extended the “Stay at Home” Order to June 15, 2020. To help ensure that our Grand Jurisdiction, relevant to Masonic activity, continues to comply with this order:
• Worshipful Masters throughout this Grand Jurisdiction are directed to Cancel or Postpone all in-person Masonic events until at least June 15, 2020.
• Essential maintenance or services on the Lodge or Building like plumbing, heating, electrical etc. that need to take place can continue, but maintenance items that can be, should be put off until after June 15, 2020.
Brethren, I’ll soon be providing guidance on how best to conduct Masonry once we can reconvene face-to-face. Until then, I ask that you wait a time with patience and continue to outreach to your Brethren and Special Ladies.
Be safe my Brethren. Freemasonry notwithstanding, still survives.
Fraternally,
Kenneth Clay
Grand Master
