Most Worshipful Grand Master

Most Worshipful Brother Kenneth A. Clay, Jr. began his Masonic career in 1972 when he joined Rumford Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Concord, NH. He served as Master Councilor of Rumford Chapter, Order of DeMolay in 1975 and Illustrious Knight Commander of DeMolay’s New Hampshire Priory. M∴ W∴ Brother Clay has received the Founders Membership Award, Meritorious Service Award, Fred Grant Ward Medal, Cross of Honor, Chevalier and Legion of Honor. As a Senior DeMolay, M∴W∴ Brother Clay has also served as Dad Advisor.
M∴ W∴ Brother Clay petitioned Horace Chase Lodge No. 72 of Penacook, New Hampshire in 1985 and received his Entered Apprentice Degree on November 26, 1985, his Fellow Craft Degree on January 2, 1986 and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on January 30, 1986, making him a 37-year member of the Fraternity. He served there as Worshipful Master in 2005-2006. In 2010, M∴ W∴ Brother Clay was honored to receive the Major General John Sullivan Distinguished Service Medal. In 2009, Most Worshipful Brother C. Wayne Libby, Jr. appointed M∴ W∴ Brother Clay as Junior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire. In November 2018 he was elected and in May 2019, Most Worshipful Brother Kenneth A. Clay, Jr. was installed as the 117th Grand Master of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New Hampshire where he currently serves.
M∴ W∴ and Illustrious Brother Clay is an active member of the Valley of Concord, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite. He served the Valley of Concord as Thrice Potent Master in 2007-2010. In 2010, MW and Illustrious Brother Kenneth Clay was Coroneted a Thirty Third Degree Mason, Honorary Member of Supreme Council in Pennsylvania, PA. In 2014-15, M∴ W∴ and Illustrious Brother Clay served the state as Commander-in-Chief of New Hampshire Consistory. M∴ W∴ Brother Clay is also a member of Mount Horeb Royal Arch Chapter, Adoniram Council and Trinity Commandry of the York Rite Bodies, Bektash Temple Shrine, New Hampshire College of Societas Rosicruciana in Civitatibus Foederatis and Priscilla Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Ken was born in Concord, NH, and graduated from Concord High School in 1976. He then went on to graduate from New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1978 with an Associate of Science degree in Engineering Technology, and the University of New Hampshire in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology. Ken has been employed at TomTom in Lebanon, NH for the last 17 years. He has been happily married to Tammy Clay for 40 years and they currently reside in Hopkinton, NH. Ken and Tammy have a daughter Jessica, 2 sons, Jonathan and Andrew, 2 granddaughters and 3 grandsons.
