On Sunday, October 27th, the Deputy Grand Master, Right Worshipful Brother Ken Clay, and several Grand Lodge Line Officers attended a Masonic Veterans’ and Special Ladies Program for Jerusalem Lodge #104 in Keene. Our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother John Lobdell, wasn’t able to attend due to another Masonic commitment but sent his heart felt congratulations to all.
One 50 year Veterans Medal was presented to Brother Jonathon Schor. Brother Schor recounted the many great friends he’s made in Masonry, having visited Lodges all over the world and was proud and honored to receive his medal.
There also were two 60 year awards presented. One to Brother Frederick Ide who spoke fondly of his many Masonic experiences over the last 60 years. The other was to Right Worshipful Richard Doble who said his greatest joy in Masonry was mentoring others, from new candidates to up and coming line officers, teaching them both their ritual as well as the floor work. Another 60 recipient, Brother Louis Bakos, wasn’t able to attend due a family commitment.
The Lodge honored their Special Ladies with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a delicious meal was enjoyed by all.
