Another successful evening of Lodge presentations and fellowship was shared in the Lancaster Masonic
Temple on this date by brethren from the Fifth Masonic District. This is our last District event sponsored
under the current Grand Lodge Administration.
The RW DDGM, Brother Darrell A. Louis, acted as host for this event. The Five Lodges currently residing
in the North Country were all represented by five Brothers who spoke on different subjects, although
the title of two of them were on the same topic-Brotherhood.
Over 40 Masons showed for the event. There was a Pot Luck Type Supper served at 6:30 p.m. All
food dishes were donated to the event. Donations were solicited to go to the Fifth Masonic District
Association’ Treasury for whatever they decide to do with it.
Worshipful Brother Paul Bouchard from North Star Lodge was the final speaker, relating about several
personal experiences which occurred to him at different times until the formally mentioned title of
Brotherhood. This talk was chosen by the three visiting judges from District Eight to be the winning one
and North Star Lodge gets the Presentation Award for this year.
Evening Star Lodge No. 37 came out in force with some fifteen brothers present to claim the Attendance
Award. As you can see from the picture, we opened in the Entered Apprentice Degree and shared the
evening with those who are not yet Master Masons.
The Eighth District announced their intentions of hosting a similar event in Parker Lodge No. 97 of North
Woodstock on May 23, 2013 which will be called “The Old Man Speaks.” The Fifth District will act as
Judges for their event. I hope they have as much success with their meeting as we have had with ours.
