On the evening of September 20, 2017, The Grand Lodge of New Hampshire gathered in central New Hampshire to honor two Masonic Veterans. The ceremony was held in Union Lodge No. 79 in Bristol, NH. Following a delightful meal served in the dining room, brethren, sisters, family and friends convened in the Lodge Room to witness the event.
Following a prayer and salute to the flag, Worshipful Brother MacDougall presented the gavel to Most Worshipful Brother John E. Lobdell. Our Grand Master first recognized Brother Kenneth G. Rogers and presented him with his 50-year Masonic Veteran’s medal. In addition to his wife, Brother Rogers was joined by his daughter Cindy Rogers, Past Worthy Grand Matron for the Order of Eastern Star in New Hampshire.
Our Grand Master then called on Brother John M. Root and presented him with his 60-year Masonic Veteran’s plaque. Brother Root was joined in the East by his wife and took the opportunity to present Most Worshipful Brother Lobdell with a token from Davey Crockett Lodge in Texas where he currently resides.
Union Lodge No. 79 is to be congratulated on conducting a wonderful event!
