It is with immense sadness that I announce the passing of Most Worshipful Past Grand Master David John Lamprey, Sr. He died on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
Most Worshipful Brother David John Lamprey, Sr. served the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire as the One Hundred and Tenth Grand Master in 2005 and 2006 after first serving as Acting Grand Master in 2004. He was a member and Past Master of Saint James Lodge No. 102 in Hampton, New Hampshire. He was an Honorary member of Gideon Lodge No. 84 in Kingston and Tucker Lodge No. 99 in Raymond. For his service to his Lodge and Freemasonry, he received the Major General John Sullivan Service Medal in 1990. In May 2003 he was presented with the Jeremy Ladd Cross Medal.
Visiting hours will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 P.M. Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton. A Masonic service will be held at 6:45 P.M. Participating Brethren should arrive at 6:00 P.M.
Tuxedo with full regalia for all Grand Lodge Officers and Lodge Officers performing the service. If a Lodge Officer does not have a tuxedo, a dark suit is appropriate. Lodge members and guests attending this service should wear a dark suit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with burial following in the Center Cemetery, North Hampton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NH Masonic Charities, PO Box 486, Milford, NH 03055 www.nhgrandlodge.org or to a charity of one’s choice.
Cards of condolence may be sent to his widow, Joanne Lamprey, 7 Riverwoods Drive, Apt. C222, Exeter, NH 03833.
