On Sunday, December 4, Rising Sun Lodge No. 39 in Nashua celebrated their Masonic Veterans and included several special presentations.
First, Right Worshipful Brother Robert Bianchi, Past Master of Rising Sun Lodge and Past District Deputy Grand Master of 2nd Masonic District, presented Aileen Cormier, Director of the Children’s Dyslexia Learning Center in Nashua their Community Builder award for her years of dedicated service to the Center.
Brother Ken Ziehm, Senior Warden of Rising Sun Lodge and acting Master presented 25- year pins to Brother Mike Jean and Brother Peter Shulkin, and a 40-year pin to Brother Samuel Kouchalakos.
Most Worshipful Brother John F. Gordon presented a 50-year medal to Brother Stephen Norris.
Most Worshipful Gordon also presented a 50-year medal to Most Worshipful Brother George Dixon Van Dyke, Past Master of Rising Sun Lodge and Past Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of New Hampshire F&AM. Most Worshipful Van Dyke presided in the Grand East in 1992 and 1993. Bro. Van Dyke’s wife Janet and daughter were in attendance.
Finally, Most Worshipful Gordon presented Brother S. Jack Brenner with the Major General John Sullivan Award in Bronze for his many years of service to Rising Sun Lodge.
