Larry A. Sprague
Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden
Right Worshipful Brother Sprague was born on September 17, 1968 in North Adams, MA. He was the tenth of eleven children and spent his early years on the family dairy farm in Whitingham, VT. In 1982 his family moved to Claremont, NH and he graduated from Stevens High School in 1986. In 1990 he purchased a house in and moved to Cornish, NH.
He worked at Split Ball Bearing, now Timken Aerospace, in Lebanon from 1988 to 1999. He started out as a quality control inspector and was promoted to quality assurance specialist for the eastern sea board of the United States and the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. He was again promoted to supervisor of the inspection and assembly departments. He left Timken and began his employment at Geographic Data Technology, now TomTom, in Lebanon. He created the third shift there, starting out with 5 employees. In less than a year he had over one hundred people directly reporting to him. Due to corporate cut backs the third shift was eliminated in 2002 and he reinvented himself as a HVAC service technician. He worked for MJ Hayward Mechanical / Electrical Services, Inc from 2002 until 2006. He attended New Hampshire Community Technical College, now Manchester Community Technical College, earning an Associate’s Degree in applied science. He then went to work for Stryker Biotech as a building facilities specialist. Due to the economic down turn in 2008 he was once again affected by corporate cut backs and layoffs. Tired of working for other people and being desirous of putting money in his own pocket instead of others he started his own business. Since 2008 he has owned and operated Sprague’s Firewood, LLC, a full service supplier of firewood and related products in the Upper Valley area of NH and VT.
Brother Sprague has three children from his first marriage, one daughter and two sons, Jennifer and our Masonic Brothers Nicholas and Timothy. While employed at GDT he met a woman named Angela and they were married in 2006.
