The Grand Lodge of New Hampshire has been very busy traveling across the State, conducting Lodges of Instruction. Six out of eight LOIs are now complete. On Friday, September 30, 2011 Grand Lodge traveled to Wolfboro, NH to participate in the Lodge of Instruction for the 6th Masonic District. Hosted by Morning Star Lodge No. 17, a tasty pork dinner preceeded the event. Under the leadership of R.W. Brother Ralph Currier, over 60 members witnessed an impressive program. We were joined by 2 newly raised Master Masons.
Saturday, October 1, 2011 was another busy day. The Lodge of Instruction for the 3rd Masonic District was opened promptly at 9:30am at Hiram Lodge No. 9 in Claremont, NH. Prior to the opening, members were treated to a full buffet breakfast. R.W. Brother Earl Cole also did an exemplary job leading the program. Again over 60 members were in attendance, along with 7 newly raised Master Masons. Following the closing rap of the Grand Master’s gavel, we loaded into cars and traveled south east to Boscawen, NH where Horace Chase Lodge No. 72 hosted the Lodge of Instruction for the 4th Masonic District. Following an outstanding chicken pot pie dinner, over 70 members walked upstairs to witness R.W. Brother Roger Becker do a great job leading the afternoon’s program. Six newly raised Master Masons were greated by the Grand Master. All three District Deputy Grand Masters really did themselves proud this weekend.
Now we can relax a bit and look forward to our final two Lodges of Instruction. The Lodge of Instruction for the 2nd Masonic District will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at Spicket Lodge No. 85 in Salem, NH. The Lodge of Instruction for the 1st Masonic District will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at St. John’s Lodge No. 1 and St. Andrew’s Lodge No. 56 in Portsmouth, NH.
