Brethren:
There will be Special Communications of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire, F&AM, on Sunday, June 21, 2015 to honor Saint John’s Day. The Grand Master, M ∴ W ∴ John F. Gordon, will declare the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire, F&AM, open for both the Portsmouth and the Cathedral of the Pines locations, at the William Pitt Tavern in Portsmouth, NH at 8:00 AM.
The purpose of the Special Communication in Portsmouth will be to march to and attend the Sunday services at St. John’s Episcopal Church, an old tradition of Grand Lodge. Brethren should assemble near William Pitt Tavern at Strawbery Banke before 8:30 A.M. Coffee and donuts will be served at the Tavern for those who arrive early. Parking at Strawbery Banke may be limited. There will be parking at St. John’s Lodge, 351 Middle St., Portsmouth and transportation will be provided by RW Bob Sutherland from the lodge to the Tavern and back. The procession to the church will commence at 9:00 A.M., and the service will be at 9:30 A.M. The Masons will march back to William Pitt Tavern following the services. The Grand Master will declare Grand Lodge and the Constituent Lodges closed at noon.
The purpose of the Special Communication in Rindge will be to attend the 66th Annual Saint John’s Day Service at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire at 11:00 A.M. Those attending should assemble in the parking lot at 10:30 A.M. Charity Lodge No. 18 will be hosting a breakfast before the services between 8 to 10am; cost is $7.50. Charity Lodge No. 18 is located at 40 Charlonne St., Jaffrey, NH.
Dress for either event will be tuxedo with full regalia for all Grand Lodge Officers. Tuxedo or dark suit for Lodge Officers and members is acceptable.
It is hoped that all Constituent Lodges will attend one of these Special Communications. Constituent Lodge Officers should wear their Aprons, Collars and Jewels. The Grand Master will declare all Lodges in attendance open and no Dispensation is required to attend as a Lodge.
