On Saturday, June 11, 2016 a Special Communication of the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire was held to rededicate Winnipisaukee Lodge No. 75 in celebration of its 150th Anniversary. Worshipful Master, Worshipful Brother John L. Alden presided over the day’s festivities, held at the Lodge in Alton, NH. The event commenced with two historical programs, after which the Worshipful Master turned the gavel over to our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother John F. Gordon. Under the direction and leadership of the Grand Master, he and the Grand Line conducted a formal Masonic re-dedication ceremony. This was followed by an historical program by our Grand Historian and several other presentations.
During his concluding remarks, our Grand Master recognized Brother Charles Woollett who was in attendance. Brother Woollett is a seventy-year member of Winnipisaukee Lodge No. 75 and on March 12, 2016 was presented by our Grand Master with the Centenarian Award, recognizing his 100th birthday. It was great to see this Brother at this special ceremony.
Congratulations to Brother Alden, the members of Winnipisaukee Lodge No. 75, and everyone who had a hand in making this a very special day for the Lodge and for Freemasonry in New Hampshire.
